Amritsar Airport is back to 24-hour operations!

The airport had a daily runway restriction from 1 April to 27 September, 13:45–21:45 IST, for runway and airfield upgrade works. From 28 September, the airport is fully open 24 hours a day again.

IndiGo Airbus A321neo VT-NHP, operating flight 6E6542 from GAU to BLR , suffered a tail strike while landing at BLR amid gusty weather.

All passengers and crew are safe. The aircraft is undergoing maintenance checks and will resume operations after the necessary clearances.

Akasa Air is reportedly in talks with Boeing to order 200+ additional 737 MAX aircraft, potentially taking its fleet expansion well beyond 2032.

A decision on the new order is expected in early 2027.
