@Mrrgan2088@danielthemate 92 sixth formers out of the 5,000 identified as Jewish. 54 of those students said they had experienced antisemitism. 20% of the overall sample had witnessed AS. The report acknowledges the small sample size but it does not only rely on a single survey to support its conclusions
This post is a textbook case of the disinformation circulating about the UK antisemitism report—and of how amateur pundits spread it.
She claims only 29 of 5,000 students reported experiencing antisemitism.
Wrong denominator. It's 29 of the 70 Jewish students who answered that question—41% saying they were personally targeted, plus 18 more who witnessed it. Dividing Jewish kids' experiences by a mostly non-Jewish total is like measuring racist abuse of Black pupils against the entire school roll.
And across all respondents, 827 said they'd witnessed antisemitism.
Nor do the report's recommendations rest on that survey. They rest on CST's 204 incidents targeting schools in 2025, two JPR studies, Teacher Tapp's survey of ~10,000 teachers, the NEU and NASUWT surveys, 587 call-for-evidence responses, and 84 written submissions. Take the student survey away and the evidence base doesn't change.
This is what happens when bad-faith amateurs cosplay as policy analysts.
@etrommater Fellini, Bergman and Hitchcock were filmmakers he aspired to be above all others. He talked about them being his big inspirations. Seeing not one but two Jacques Tati films on the list is a surprise but not a shock
@NewStatesman Salman Rushdie spent years living in hiding from, and was maimed by, violent Islamic extremists. Sally Rooney supports them. They’re not the same
@HarryGoldstein7@GillianLazarus Samuel was Ewen’s grandfather, who died in 1911. Polanski presumably meant Louis, Ewen’s father, who co-founded the League of British Jews, which was anti-Balfour
@Madalger@CNEWS Le conflit a été importé par les millions de personnes qui soutiennent le pogrom des Juifs par leurs co-religionnistes et le célèbrent le jour de son anniversaire. Maléfique
