On #WorldIBDDay my message to patients…find a gastroenterologist that is specifically trained and interested in taking care of #IBD patients. Not all GIs have specialized training or interest to do this just like not all GIs do ERCP or hepatology. This is essential for the best outcomes especially if your disease is not well controlled. Progress is happening and is measurable!
Wonderful to join @marshllj who showed surgical resections in IBD has been decreasing since the arrival of new drugs! Great news for patients! Thank you for your lecture Prof John Marshall. @McMasterU@MacDeptMed@HamHealthSci @FarncombeInstit
