โToday, Monday at 10 AM WAT, weโre finishing our deep dive into the final components of blockchain on our X Space.
โIf youโve ever felt lost, weโre breaking it down using a simple English Notebook analogy.
โThink of your notebook as the ๐ณ๐๐ ๐๐๐ itself. Now, imagine thousands of people (Computers/Nodes) all have an identical copy of that same notebook, thatโs what makes it a ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ซ.
โEvery single word or line you write in that notebook is a ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง.
Each page of the notebook is a ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐๐ค. You fill the page with transactions, and once itโs full, the page is "sealed."
โBut thereโs a catch: each new page carries a "fingerprint" of the preceding page, which links them together forever.
The people (or computers) holding those identical notebooks are the ๐๐จ๐๐๐ฌ. They act as the guardians of the information, constantly comparing their copies to ensure no one is ripping out pages or changing the notes.
โWhen a page is finished, itโs processed to produce a ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ซ. This process is known as ๐๐ซ๐ฒ๐ฉ๐ญ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐ก๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ , and it results in a fixed-length string (like the 64 characters in SHA-256).
โHashing is a one-way process. Like a chicken egg: once it hashes (hatches), you can't turn the chicken back into the egg.
โThis ensures data integrity and security. If you change one tiny letter on Page 1, the ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ซ changes completely. Because Page 2 carries Page 1's hash, the whole notebook "breaks."
This is why blockchain is so hard to hack.
