नेपाल में आई बाढ़ की विभीषिका अत्यंत दु:खद है। जिन परिवारों ने इस आपदा में अपने प्रियजनों को खोया है, मेरी संवेदनाएँ उनके साथ हैं। संकट की इस घड़ी में भारत सरकार नेपाल के साथ खड़ी है।

नेपाल में आई इस आपदा के संबंध में बिहार व उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्रियों से बात की। इसका प्रभाव जिन सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों पर पड़ सकता है, वहाँ के स्थानीय प्रशासन और राहत-बचाव की टीमों के साथ NDRF को भी हाई अलर्ट पर रखा गया है।

Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri A. Balakrishnan Ji, who served as the All India President of Vivekananda Kendra.

Balakrishnan Ji devoted more than five decades of his life to the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and to the service of society. As one of the early Jeevanvratis of Vivekananda Kendra, he worked tirelessly across the country. He had a particularly deep association with the Northeast. He played an important role in educational, social and nation-building activities.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Vivekananda Kendra family and his admirers. Om Shanti.
