13 workers left Palantir and issued this statement.
"Palantir is increasingly complicit, normalizing authoritarianism under the guise of a 'revolution' led by oligarchs. We must resist this trend."
Medical debt is the leading cause of personal bankruptcy in the United States.
Not gambling. Not reckless spending. Not the moral failures that the rhetoric of personal responsibility loves to invoke.
Getting sick.
The leading cause of financial ruin in the wealthiest country in human history is the biological inevitability of the human body breaking down.
This happens nowhere else in the developed world.
In no other wealthy nation does a person survive cancer and then spend a decade paying for the survival.
In no other wealthy nation does a grandmother choose between insulin and rent.
In no other wealthy nation is the question "can I afford to call an ambulance" a question a person has to genuinely ask.
This is not an accident of policy.
This is the policy.
The extraction is the point.
The debt is the product.
The sick person is the raw material.
Jared and Ivanka Kushner want to buy Sazan Island in Albania because it is beautiful and they want to make it a resort. How nice!
But Sazan island is not a vacation spot. It’s a well-documented strategic military chokepoint with a long military history.
In 1958, Nikita Khrushchev stood at the nearby Soviet submarine base and said, "From there I could control the Mediterranean to Gibraltar." Sazan island controls the Strait of Otranto, and the Strait of Otranto controls access to the entire Adriatic.
Every empire that wanted to control the Adriatic, wanted Sazan. Romans. Ottomans. Italians. Germans. Soviets.
What Ivanka describes as "An unbelievable, beautiful 1,400-hectare private island in the middle of the Mediterranean," is approximately 3,600 nuclear bunkers and kilometers of tunnels and hardened underground facilities, including a submarine pen the Soviets built specifically to project power into the Mediterranean, and is still an Albanian military zone.
The deal was negotiated in secret. Albanian citizens and their own parliament didn't know about it until the press reported it. The Albanian government approved it immediately after Trump won reelection. Kushner’s newly formed investment company is using $4.6 billion from Saudi Arabia and Gulf sovereign wealth funds to fund the purchase. A Qatari company, Power International Holding, is a co-owner of the project and is currently under investigation by Albanian anti-corruption prosecutors.
Now that the deal is public, the Albanians are pissed. They're in the streets marching by the thousands in Tirana, Albania’s capital with banners reading "Albania is not for sale." Private security forces have attacked protesters. The Albanian government has suspended police officers, and revoked security company licenses.
Yep, just a couple private civilians looking to open a resort. No need to look further...
Now that you know the whole story, what do you think?
Trump isn't getting rich despite being president. He's getting rich because he's president.
Here's how the machine works.
He launches a memecoin. He controls 80% of it. He then invites the top holders to a private dinner at the White House. Foreign investors who want access to the U.S. government now have a payment mechanism that looks like cryptocurrency speculation.
His company trades on the stock market under his initials. Foreign governments, sovereign wealth funds, and companies with business before his administration can move that stock simply by buying it. No wire transfer. No paper trail linking it to policy.
His hotels and golf courses are open for business. Foreign embassies book events there. Delegations stay there. The U.S. Secret Service charges his own properties to protect him at those same locations. The Treasury gets some of it back. Most of it stays.
His son-in-law sat in the White House for four years managing U.S.-Saudi relations. Six months later, Saudi Arabia wrote Affinity Partners a $2 billion check over the objections of their own advisors. MBS signed off personally.
None of this required a law to be broken. That's the point.
The presidency has been converted into a revenue stream. The transactions are legal enough, diffuse enough, and complex enough that no single one draws a clear line from policy to payment.
That's not an accident. Are you OK with that?
Funny how debt is forgivable when it’s tied to yachts, hedge funds, or billionaires’ failed businesses. Tax breaks, subsidies, bailouts, and legal protections appear overnight. But when it’s tied to education, healthcare, or survival, it becomes a character flaw.
The left has one job right now: stop treating authoritarianism like a debate club topic. It is here. It is funded. It is organized. It is wearing a flag pin and thumping a bible.
The details about the Tate brothers in this @newyorker profile are as sick as anything you will ever read. They are rapists, pornographers, traffickers - and heroes to the "conservative" MAGA movement

Trump said something outside a press gaggle that I don’t think enough people caught.
A reporter called him out on the corruption. He gave three responses.
1. I have the right to do it.
2. He’s not stealing that much. A billion or two billion dollars. Not that much money. Classic Trump.
3. People don’t care.
That’s the permission structure. Our collective apathy is what they’re using to justify everything happening in Washington right now.
Please stand up and prove him wrong.
Accountability in politics requires a long memory.
The disastrous reality of Trump's second term means it is time to permanently discredit the influencers, tech billionaires, politicians, and other figures who pushed for his return to power.
Trump's second term has proven to be an absolute catastrophe, far exceeding the chaos of his first four years. He has easily earned the title of the worst president in American history, defined by unparalleled corruption, incompetence, treason, and completely arbitrary decision-making. The entire global community is currently suffering from the fallout of his erratic policies and betrayal of traditional alliances.
Voters must remember the exact individuals who guaranteed that this administration would bring prosperity. Consider when Elon Musk claimed that it would be the end of the United States as we know it if Trump lost the election. The exact opposite turned out to be true, and the country is now fractured because he won.
These pundits and tech moguls have exposed their complete lack of moral and intellectual judgment. Anyone who weaponized their platform to sell this vision has earned a long disqualification from public discourse, and their political advice should be ignored for years (if not decades)
By the time Trump is done, he will have transferred many trillions to the billionaire class—DOGE, the BBB, entitlement cuts, crypto fraud, pardons, total criminal immunity...
The chief enabler & beneficiary is racist conman Elon Musk.
The SpaceX IPO is the final capitulation.
Despite his white supremacist, eugenicist & violent comments, and despite the ACTIONS he’s taken which led to the EBOLA outbreak, the SCREWWORM outbreak & MILLIONS of dead from starvation and AIDS, the entire financial sector has looked the other way.
Venture capital, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, private equity, NASDAQ, FTSE Russell, Fidelity, Google…
They’ve all just decided that a man who lies all day long, and who wants to genetically engineer humanity to be more white, should be able to dump his stock on retirees whether they like it or not.
For money.
I believe we have reached terminal capitalism. We need to fundamentally change the system that sorts sadistic psychopaths to the top of the pyramid.
FYI: Social Security has been funded by American workers for 90 years.
Every paycheck.
Every job.
Every decade.
Congress has borrowed $2.9 trillion from the Trust Fund.
None of them asked permission.
You saved it.
They spent it.
Now they’re asking you to accept less.

So let me get this straight:
When immigrants take jobs, it’s a national crisis.
When AI takes jobs, it’s innovation.
Can someone explain why we’re supposed to fear people willing to work, but celebrate technology designed to replace workers?
In Denmark, McDonalds workers make $25 an hour and, if they are over twenty, the company starts paying into a pension plan for them, and in addition they have a full 6 weeks of paid vacation.
Now how much do you think this costs customers? The Economist looked into this and found out that the Big Mac costs 76 cents less than it does here.
Don't believe the lies that raising the minimum wage would force prices to go up.
The President of the United States is asleep at his desk. Again.
Behind him stand seven grown adults in expensive suits, and not one of them is doing anything about it. One is mid-sentence. Another is gazing sideways with the haunted look of a man whose pension depends on never acknowledging what he can see in his peripheral vision.
The rest of the world is watching, and the rest of the world has noticed something. Americans are terrified of authority. That fear has settled over this administration like a fog, and it turns otherwise functional adults into warm furniture. Nobody moves. Nobody speaks. The paralysis is total.
In any European parliament, in any boardroom from Oslo to Ljubljana, someone would have leaned over by now. Tapped a shoulder. Said, quietly but clearly, that perhaps this isn’t the moment. Somebody would have done something, because the alternative, pretending a sleeping man is running a meeting, would have been too absurd to sustain.
Not here. Here, seven men have collectively decided that the correct professional response to the President losing consciousness in the Oval Office is to carry on as though he were a particularly demanding houseplant.
