“My father would stand on this pulpit and speak for 4 hours. I would also use the restroom 5 times, talking non-stop — pe pe pe… I don’t have that time. I speak two words but with meaning. Do you understand me?” — King Misuzulu
“I love you all. I am the first king — among the 9 or 12 kings who ruled — to be put in power by the courts. I am a king legally. Come say otherwise and I’ll arrest you.” — King Misuzulu

Sources say several African officials contacted former South African referee Victor Gomes, who is overseeing African referees at the tournament, to raise concerns about the lack of games.
Some officials feel they have mainly been training without receiving enough opportunities to officiate matches.
Others have reportedly spent their free time exploring Miami by going to the beaches during the tournament.
Match appointments for African referees so far:
🇲🇦 Jalal Jayed — 3 matches (most among African referees)
🇪🇬 Omar Amin — 2 matches
🇩🇿 Mustapha Ghorbal — 2 matches
🇲🇷 Dahane Beida — 1 match
🇿🇦 Abongile Tom — all appearances as fourth official
FIFA is expected to confirm soon which referees will leave the tournament.
Flights for departing officials have already been pre-booked for July 13 and 14.
Officials who remain for the quarter-finals and beyond will have their flights adjusted to July 20/21 after the final.
