Well you’re using an LDS Night example that isn’t applicable. Hats worn by players on the field for their uniforms are sometimes themed for special events - pride night, Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, etc. but not for special marketing partnerships (LDS Night, Irish Heritage Night, Hello Kitty Night, etc.). A better question is what would be done if a player wrote “Matthew 5:9” on a camo hat? Would that be considered offensive?

I’ve never seen players wearing those hats as they are part of ticket packages, notably the Mariners LDS hat. For example the Dodgers call their limited giveaways “Special Event Ticket Packages” and the team does not wear the Guatemalan Heritage Night jerseys that night. Do you have any pictures to show a team wearing giveaway LDS night hats?

@McFranchisee The worst franchise location near me has them for $2.69 in the app. Sadly I think they would try to pass off a standard pie and deny a refund, even getting a refill is a 5-10 minute ordeal.

@tbpn Not only is 45 minutes before a flight too early for domestic, but international too. You’ll know you’ve maximized your non-airport time when you get a phone call from the gate asking where you are… and they hold the plane.

Would love to see this tomorrow with the FOX OTA for the US game. Will it be closer to true live because Fox produces content out of LA, or do we get the world feed out of the IBC in Dallas? The broadcast latency for Qatar to Los Angeles in ‘22 was around 4.5 seconds for Fox OTA verified using a friend at a match linking game clock time to Zulu time.

It is the perfect example of my point - the chilling effects on free speech in the UK. It is proven to be legal, you should not fear any repercussions, arrest, or even the inconvenience that would come from being approached or questioned by police. Are you 100% confident you could do that and be ignored? Then that's how you know you're free. But then how far can you go without police intervention?

Some portion of 12,000 people have their speech chilled annually. You can excuse it, chalk it up to corresponding illegal actions, note that the outcome corrected it, but all you are doing is minimize the clear impact that has on speech. I gave you an easy way of proving me wrong - speech that has already been adjudicated as allowed. So you should have no issue standing outside of Buckinham or other prominent crown properties. No police should approach you, question you, detain you, etc. You have nothing to fear.
