proship/anti shouldn't have been demarcated, i dislike even using the labels because they perpetuate a damaging non-issue. fiction is depiction, not endorsement. if you have bandwidth, combat real world harm, not creators. art in its full spectrum is needed
ngl I regret not drawing comicz.. im overwhelmed... i got so many ideas at once but also.. completely paralyzed from it.. I find drawing one off drawings rather boring now and would love comics
would anyone have ever guessed my first yaoi is like random tentacle porn... i draw so politely.. wonder it shows from my style or am I giving off living off good wholesome porn
Does anyone remember the name of that manhwa where the protag was a middle aged man fighting in the ring and he got fucked there as part of the spectacle… and it ended up with him losing and got sold as a whore….? And form an amicable relationship w yakuza boss who owned him
@watashixore In the west these zines are known anthology books in JP and the quality is indeed very high like not even officially published books are that good lol and thanks for clarification
I have heard in JP, doujins are sold at break even or even loss.. they dont seek profit... i dont remember where I read it though.. but its western fandom culture being more profit oriented that sets these apart
i do wish non-JP artist alleys have a fanbook-oriented culture. i KNOW why people sell charms over fanbooks, i know it's expensive to have comics printed in the US, but i hope artists invest in it at least once. at a con i almost always buy someone's comic over their other merch
