@eskantor@NHLxForum Who am I disagreeing with? You’re 7-7.5 for tuch is made up and not true. If that was his number he would still be in buffalo. I thought 9-9.5 was going to be the number for Tuch
@eskantor@NHLxForum Most players have their preferred, but most wingers can play both sides. Look at Beau, big pro, Mikey. They can play both wings. Go around the league a lot of wingers have the ability and played both sides
@eskantor@NHLxForum 7-7.5 would not have gotten a Tuch deal done. If that was the case he would still be in buffalo. Tuch was looking for 9.5-10 at the start and as a free agent you will over pay
@eskantor@NHLxForum Wilson a good example? He’s been better at 30 and 31 than he has at any point in his career. Wilson and tuch have never been a player teams plan for. I’m not sure exactly how old you are but I feel like you’re older because switching form rw to lw isn’t a big deal
@eskantor@NHLxForum How would moving Leno to lw be a mistake? A kid wants to move to the left. If you can play both wings in the nhl you shouldn’t be in the nhl. My whole life I could play both wings it doesn’t change that much
@eskantor@NHLxForum Guys also look at cap % and not total cap hit so with the cap going up and the elite guys contracts going up so are everyone else’s.
@eskantor@NHLxForum You’re also trying to compare a contract signed this summer to ones signed 2-3 years ago. This isn’t the old nhl you will see tons of top 6 wingers signed for around 10 mil. I’m not here saying the contract is good I just get why Washington did it
@eskantor@NHLxForum Kyrou is a pure offensive winger. Tuch and Wilson are pretty similar. Tuch might have a little more finesse while Willy is as rugged as they come. Leno I have playing LW this year
@jaydee4777jd@NHLxForum I’m not saying you were are wrong about what you heard about PLD and kyrou. PLD did force his way out of Columbus and Winnipeg and had a bad run in with a coach in LA. He has even stated he can be himself in Washington and he loves it here
@jaydee4777jd@NHLxForum I am not worried what so ever.
Matt Roy even stated when he signed in Washington the things people were saying about PLD on the kings were false.
@jaydee4777jd@NHLxForum PLD has been here for 2 years and has turned it around. He is letting rookies stay at his house. PLD’s attitude has completely changed since coming to dc.
Kyrou will be in that same situation PLD was in and with how close the locker room is and carberry being the coach
@eskantor@NHLxForum Zero puck knowledge. Tuchs contract is in his prime for the first 5 years. Which lines up with the timeline of other contracts. Kyrou is a 30 goal scorer 70 point player which people think he can be a ppg in carbs system
@Smackkitals Having 2 left handed d play together in Marty and sandin is also fine. You don’t always need a lefty and a righty. I wouldn’t want every pair to be the same handness but one is fine
@Smackkitals You find a partner that suits your #1 d’s play style and Roy fits Chychrun perfectly. They have been one of the best pairings the last 2 years. Teams usually don’t play their #1 d and #2 d together anyway so pretty terrible puck knowledge
@LukeCerpinTaxt@SchmidtStroke Then Leno-PLD-Tuch is a big fast physical in your face line. 3 very high iq offensive players and tuch and PLD are great two way players. Then ovi strome and kyrou are getting no d zone starts only o zone. Strome and ovi you don’t split up and kyrou is the best offensive winger
@LukeCerpinTaxt@SchmidtStroke If you have the ability to make a 4th line you can trust to play against the other teams best players that can also get you goals. You make that 4th line. Protas bros are going to play together with Willy just like at the end of last year
