How many of my fellow superintendents have someone say to them, almost daily, “I’m sure glad I’m not you!”? And after briefly thinking it’s a valid question and feeling daunted about the work ahead, how many feel grateful to be a superintendent putting children ahead of politics?
Per CDC and Iowa DE, requiring face coverings for all staff and students is not recommended. Allow the personal use of cloth face coverings by staff and students.
Per Iowa DE, schools may not be able to guarantee that physical distancing can be met in all school settings throughout the entire school day, during school activities, or with transportation. This is similar to when children congregate in their community.
