The World Cup begins tomorrow, and many will watch the matches. Soccer reminds us of something we must not forget: life is not a race to show off on our own, but a path we learn to walk together. Anyone who does not know how to pass the ball, even if they have talent, has not yet understood the game. Anyone who does not know how to live with and for others has not yet understood life. #ApostolicJourney
I was still sleeping around 6:30am when i head the sound of a bell and i thought it was this people that preach very early in the morning, then i noticed the sound of the bell was coming closer and someone knock on my door.
My wife opened the door and the next thing, they dragged her outside and was ringing the bell heavily with lyrics saying, Onigebse pay your money.
Shame couldn't make me come outside cos i remember telling my wife to pull out of anything that has to do with those women gathering micro finance and i warned her ahead for days like this but she joined again without my awareness.
I gathered courage to come out after all my neighbours were outside already and even neighbours from the next compound are around already and i ask how much she is owing.
My wife said 50k, so because of 50k you people came to disgrace my family.
For peace to reign, i ask them to go and promised to pay the next day.
They say no and insist my wife must follow them outside and dance in the street while they ring bell on her and they were actively recording with their phone.
I have never experienced such shame in my life before just because of 50k.
I took record of everything that happened with my phone too for evidence purpose too.
I want to know if I can take up a case with them for this embarrassment
Man destroys POP and fittings he installed after landlord reportedly doubles rent on Port Harcourt apartment
A man has gone viral on social media after damaging parts of an apartment he rented in Port Harcourt following a dispute with his landlord over a rent increase.
According to posts shared online, the tenant had reportedly spent his own money installing POP ceilings and other fittings to improve the apartment while living there.
However, he claimed the landlord later increased the rent by almost double the previous amount, a development that left him frustrated.
In videos circulating online, the man was seen removing and damaging some of the fittings and POP installations he paid for before leaving the property.

A bit cynical but undeniably resonant...
Why are we more comfortable celebrating a memory than supporting/touching the live of a human being?
This should serve as a pretty blunt reminder: if you have something beautiful to say/do, say/do it while the person is still around to be embarrassed by the compliments/good deeds π

I'm bored of saying it, but any Yoruba person reading this should please remember that there will still be life after Tinubu.
His mission to turn you and Igbo people into enemies for the sake of his short-term political interest will only spoil your life for no reason.
βOne of the pilots who flew me said I gave him a scholarship to learn how to fly. A Reverend Father who preached here also said he benefited from my scholarship, even though I have never met him before. I want a country where people can attain certain positions without knowing anyone. I once met a man working at a restaurant in Abuja who said he was a first-class graduate, how can someone with such qualifications be in that position? Any contractor who can come forward with evidence that they received a contract under my government and that I asked for a percentage from the money of the contract, I will quit politics.β
