Qualified 2022. Entered GP as an NQN. Iโm enjoying the personal and professional challenges, and development opportunities my role offers. Ask me about it ๐
@NurseStandard Or โwhy should we think it acceptable not to pay nurses the extra hour they will work?โ This question demonstrates the normalised culture of nurses working extra as goodwill. Expecting yet another unpaid hour of nurses time is typical @RCNWestMids@SocialistNHS
Today sees the first of our #RSV clinics done and it was very positive. Patients were informed and receptive, and we managed the reconstitution process in 5min appts.
Look forward to protecting more 75-80yo over the next few months

V. EXCITED! ๐คฉ @Gpnsnn
@Jemma_Louise_86@wlv_uni@Gpnsnn Take a look at the course specโฆ it delves deeper in to public health and leadership with physical assessment and prescribing - providing the tools to work at an enhanced level #GPN
@BeverleyMTanner@wlv_uni@Gpnsnn Oh brilliant! Really wasnโt sure between this and starting masters modules towards ACPโฆ not convinced ACP is my destination though
With only a few weeks to go until the start of the university term, it's important that students are up to date with vaccines for:
๐น MenACWY
๐น HPV
๐น MMR
This can be checked on the NHS App ๐ฑ
@lizzy_bitz Same. Iโm putting together a business case to demonstrate the benefits of taking her on: 2yr Apprenticeship inc. Fundamentals + other training. If we have a vacancy in 2yrs great but sheโll be set up as a GPN. Compared to locum HCA/nurse she will be value for money.
@jclinnursing@Kasim_YBR ๐๐ผ Could this research bring about a refocus on the quality of โplacement/simulation experiences rather than quantity of placement hours in redefining PAD requirementsโฆ
