it’s the modern version of pharisaical legalism. don’t get caught up in it. it’s distracting and divisive. our job as Christians is to point people to Jesus, not to play “classroom monitors” over things that aren’t explicit in Scripture. keep the main the main thing.

God’s justice in Scripture always includes justice for both the perpetrator and the victim. It seems many people are more focused on sparing the perpetrator without asking what justice looks like for the victim.

There are very good arguments against the death penalty in our current system, but, from a Christian perspective, to say it is unjust *period* is to say God is unjust, who demanded it in Israel in certain cases. You cannot out-justice God. He created justice.

Aborting babies in the second trimester is usually done via *lethal injection* into her heart to cause fatal cardiac arrest. It’s most “effective” when the needle is inserted directly into her heart, but since babies at this stage are wiggly, doing so may require some pokes.
