This year, instead of writing a different poem for each week of Advent, I wrote a single poem for the whole season, with one verse for each week.
O come, O come, Emmanuel.

A poem I wrote in response to my most recent reviewing of the How to Train Your Dragon movies.

It feels particularly poignant - and relevant - these days.

@ericsmithrocks Looking forward to this!

@jconnollybooks My heart grieves for you, good sir. This haiku I wrote for my own fur-child speaks best to that unique love:

That soft, silky streak
Of white between your eyes has
My heart forever

You are not made for endless productivity. Your body, like nature, goes through winters and springs, snowy days and bountiful harvests. Being unable to perform like a robot is not a flaw; it’s a reminder of your glorious humanity.

@ElisabethAndInk But the plot problems are getting solved. 'Tis a win worth forgetting one's native language for.

The grape popsicles, though . . . THAT'S a grave loss.

“And I must forget even that I want it to be good. Such things belong only in the planning stage. Once it starts, it should not have any intention save only to be written.” ~ John Steinbeck

Life is sometimes hard. Things go wrong, in life and in love…and in all the other ways that life can go wrong. And when things get tough, this is what you should do…Make good art. I’m serious. -Neil Gaiman “Art Matters”#amwriting #writinglife

Psyched to see novellas getting the attention they deserve! Not least because I might have a few of them written, hanging out on my computer…😉#amwriting #amquerying https://t.co/vJ28OqjLYT
