As in our systematic review five years ago, we found consistency in reports from carers around the world. This time there were some reports of the consequential impacts of coercion on carers.

When we started we were hoping that our review update would serve as a baseline record of service user and carer experiences before reforms to the Mental Health Act were rolled out in the England and Wales. Now we don't know when reforms will come.
