🇬🇧 A girl in the UK was trafficked at age 11 by a rape gang and raped by over 500 men.

She went to police about it multiple times. They refused to do anything, but prosecuted her for prostitution.

She was one of the victims of rape gangs in Telford, where over 1,000 girls were abused by mostly Pakistani Muslim gangs.

Authorities knew about the abuse for decades.

When I was a child, I lived in a very poor neighbourhood in the north of England. This was in the 1980s.

My grandmother would lecture me about staying away from the Pakistani men who were starting to move in with their families.

There were many rumours of young working class girls being given presents by these men. I knew nothing (thankfully) about what the girls were forced to do in return. My grandmother wanted me to have nothing to do with them. I followed her advice.

I would like to know why the authorities knew nothing of this, when it was happening and continues to happen in so many towns across the UK.
