Jeon-neung-ha-da has an extremely positive meaning, it means “almighty, all-powerful,” most commonly in reference to God. They are laughing because while trying to compliment Haechan, Jaemin accidentally misspoke and insulted him.

If you look at the full context of the clip, Haechan asks Jaemin for his closing thoughts, and Jaemin basically says “It was an honor to be on the amazing Haechan’s show.” In that context, would it really make sense for him to throw an insult in there?

I-fans make me embarrassed.. if ur gonna make an argument and accusation and say that what Jaemin said was straight up ableist, be ingrained into the Korean culture first and understand the word in context. This why learning Korean can be so important.

I dont think people understand how important languages are until youre like me who knows 3 of them. You understand that direct translation is most times straight up impossible without the connotation and the situation and just SO MANY other factors.

Korean and English are two totally different languages. The word Jaemin used, from what I had read from a Korean who was not a nct stan, meant LITERAL what it means to be the r word. DOES THIS MEAN THE SAME CONNOTATION as the word in English? Most likely no???
