The level of thrashing, squirming and crying by political hacks, racists and downright assholes tells me that we are close to the end game.
Parading family members now, just shows me their lack of humanity for the families of the vitims of not just the Easter bombings but also PTA victims through the years.
Didn't they have families too? Mothers, fathers, siblings and children. Didn't any of them deserve this kind of outcry?
Suddenly a whole lot of racists and hacks who was indifferent to the suffering of others have suddenly found their humanity?
Give me a fucking break.
Anyway... Shall we #RepealPTA now?

Plenty of hysteria for Suresh Sallay and when you see where it is coming from I think the motives are clear and obvious... At least for me.
Where are the protests and outraged statements from these same politicians, commentators and bad-faith actors for the hundreds who were murdered on Easter Sunday? Do those victims and their kin not deserve answers and closure?
Let me also be clear... The PTA is a terrible law and should be repealed. I opposed it when it was used against poets, comedians, students, activists, lawyers and ordinary citizens. I oppose it now. Whether it is Hejaaz Hizbullah, Ahnaf Jazeem, a protester, or Suresh Sallay, the principle is the same. No one should be subjected to a law that allows prolonged detention and abuse of due process.
The irony, however, is hard to ignore.
Many of the people now demanding due process for Sallay had very little to say when others were denied it. Hejaaz Hizbullah was detained for 10 months without meaningful judicial oversight and 22 months overall.
Countless PTA detainees spent years imprisoned without charge. There were no press conferences, no outrage, or passionate defences of civil liberties or their health concerns.
Sallay has already had access to lawyers, judges and a functioning legal process as he and every detainee should.
But none of this changes the fact that there are serious questions that investigators appear to be pursuing.
According to what has emerged through court proceedings and ongoing investigations, the focus now appears to include:
• Witness statements obtained by CID.
• Evidence from Channel 4 whistleblower Azad Maulana.
• Alleged communications with individuals connected to the Easter attacks.
• The "Sonic-Sonic" intelligence-linked Telegram communications.
• The "Alpha" line of inquiry concerning intelligence intermediaries and contacts.
• Alleged intelligence links to suspects who were released or protected prior to Easter.
• Questions surrounding post-attack conduct, including possible obstruction and evidence suppression.
• The broader network of relationships between intelligence actors and individuals connected to the bombers.
Whether these allegations stand up in court remains to be seen and that is what investigations are for.
What is amazing is how quickly some people want the investigation itself discredited before the evidence is heard.
Who wanted make Hejaaz the mastermind?
Why was it so important to establish a narrative that Sarah Jasmine was dead?
Who benefited from those assumptions?
These questions are not conspiracy theories and they arise directly from the gaps, contradictions and unexplained decisions that have surrounded this investigation for seven years.
The Easter attacks were not just a terrorist atrocity. They were also one of the greatest intelligence and investigative failures in the country's history. If investigators are finally moving beyond the bombers and into the networks, contacts, decisions and actions that surrounded them before and after April 21, then that is exactly where they should be looking.
The victims deserve nothing less than the absolute truth no matter where it may lead or whose feet will ultimately be held to the fire.

1. They parked a police car outside my house intimidating my wife.
2. They called her a terrorist.
3. Threatened to arrest her multiple times.
4. Didn’t grant her security clearance so she had to get monthly extensions on her visa.
And of course no coverage on Daily Mirror.
If he is innocent, Salley must stay strong and fight his case.
That’s what we did. We prayed, exercised, read, met our lawyers and fought our cases. Salley who detained us knows that the conditions for us were worse than what it is for him.

Rule changes for the SpaceX $SPCX IPO:
Index providers waived the profitability requirement and cut the seasoning window from 90 days to 5.
This forces over $30 trillion in passive 401k and retirement money to buy SpaceX at IPO valuations.
Bloomberg Intelligence estimates S&P 500 funds must absorb 19% of SpaceX's float within 6 months.
Russell 1000 and Nasdaq 100 funds will absorb 24%.
The rules built to protect passive investors:
1. S&P 500 has required 12 months of trading and 4 quarters of GAAP profitability since 2002. Both waived.
2. Nasdaq cut its inclusion window from 90 trading days to 15.
3. FTSE Russell cut its to 5.
All three benchmarks are now structured to buy SpaceX at IPO pricing.
The SpaceX IPO is reallying going to be the first domino that takes everything down.
>S&P 500 rules are waved to fast track SpaceX into the fund
>Mutual Funds will be forced to buy SpaceX stock using retirement funds & 401ks
>SpaceX is now tied to Xai which is losing a shitton of money
>Xai is tied to Nvidia
>Nvidia is tangled into every AI company in existence and we're already seeing cracks
And on top of all of this we have the dumbest administration of all time that's going to do a rug pull with the whole thing.
This is dire... but not a surprise. We have built a system that routinely fails victims of abuse.
Recently, a friend was physically assaulted by her husband. When she went to the police and made a complaint, the response was for the policewoman to call the husband and ask him to take her home because men are seen as the head of the household.
That entrenched misogyny meant she was asked to be patient, think of the children, and try to work things out... and this was after she had been battered.
The case is still going nowhere, and she remains trapped in that home, still living with a violent and unpredictable man.
So when people ask why there is outrage when children allege abuse, this is why... If grown women can't get protection from a system steeped in misogyny and power imbalances, what chance does a child have?
Then add another layer.. the reverence and protection afforded to religious institutions. Those children are not just fighting an individual abuser but an entire system.
That is why people are angry, why I am angry. That is why this has touched a nerve throughout the country.
Anyone who feels that this is an attack on the institution of Buddhism needs to rethink their worldview. It is the abuser who is denigrating the religion, not those asking for accountability on behalf of voiceless children.

I am used to vile insidious nonsense coming from politicians.
But a lawyer uttering words like this, normalising a heinous depraved act is loathsome.

Prosecutors are now directly alleging former intelligence chief Suresh Sallay plotted 2019 Easter Sunday suicide attacks to serve political interests of Rajapaksa family. Testimony by Pillaiyan’s former secretary, Hanzeer Azad Maulana, is key & will be essential in any trial.
Testimony ruled "unreliable" because a 13 year old child's recollection of abuse was "inconsistent". Verdict may be right, but this means we need to either keep all children away from clergy, or conduct a substantial purge of the clergy.
Despite govt claims that no importer had prior knowledge of the customs duty surcharge, it is clear that the $23m worth of LCs opened a day before the surcharge was highly unusual, considering the daily average is $8m. @murtazaj suggests backdating by 2 days to solve the problem.
Sri Lanka's impressive Tax Identification Number (TIN) registration progress 📈
● 2022: ~200,000 individuals
● Early 2024: ~1 million
● Mid-2025: 10 million
● May 2026: Over 13 million ✅
From almost 0% to roughly 75% of adults registered in just 4 years.
The target is around 17 million. Solid progress for #SriLanka 🇱🇰

Every rape of every kind is unacceptable.
No exceptions! No #WhatAboutism!!
Lawyers may come up with convoluted arguments to defend client #lka Buddhist monk accused of raping under-aged girl, but to make these public statements sends a very wrong message.

From Rev. A W Jebanesan who conducted DBS Jeyaraj’s funeral:
Today I had the privilege of speaking at the funeral of DBS Jeyaraj [David Buell Sabapathy Jeyaraj] - journalist, storyteller of a nation's pain, and for many of us in the Tamil diaspora, a moral compass.
I want to be honest. He was not a regular churchgoer. But I have known many regular churchgoers who made no impact on the world around them. They attended every service. They followed every religious rule. They were seen in all the right places. And yet - when they were gone, the world continued exactly as it was.
Nothing changed. No one was challenged. No truth was spoken that cost them anything.
And then there are others. People who may not sit in a church pew every Sunday - but who carry something far more costly.
Something that Jesus called a cross.
DBS Jeyaraj carried that cross.
He wrote about things that powerful people did not want written. He named what others were too afraid to name - not only injustice from outside his community, but wrongs committed within it. That kind of honesty does not make you popular. It makes you a target. And he knew that. He paid for it in ways that many of us will never fully understand. And still - he kept writing. His last article was published on April 1st, 2026. He died on May 17th.
He came from a Methodist family. His grandfather was Arlvarpillai - a Tamil pandit. His mother's brother was Rev. M. A. Ratnarajah, a Methodist minister. Faith was woven into his roots - even if his life's work was not in a pulpit but at a desk.
And I was told that his favourite psalm was Psalm 23.
That did not surprise me at all.
Because there is one line in that psalm that I believe he understood better than most - "𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲, 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐧𝐨 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞."
David did not write that line from a place of comfort. He wrote it from experience - from real danger, real loss, real darkness. And a man who spent decades writing truth in the shadow of intimidation, who lived in exile and kept going anyway - that man knew something about dark valleys.
He did not stop walking. He did not put down his pen. He walked through - and he kept writing.
I read his articles when I lived in Sri Lanka. I followed his website from Canada. He shaped how many of us understood our own history and our own community. That is not a small thing.
There are people who are religious all their lives and leave no mark. And there are people who live for truth - at great cost — and leave the world a little more honest than they found it.
DBS Jeyaraj was the second kind.
May he rest in the presence of the Shepherd he trusted.
"𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫." - Psalm 23
If anyone missed it, yesterday was a blockbuster day for the Easter attack investigation in court.
The story now is not one of intelligence failure but of state intelligence nurturing, protecting and materially supporting individuals connected to the attacks.
So... the buck seems to be very much pointed at Suresh Sallay and I hope he is on "suicide" watch.

Significant proof if documents are correct that US actively pushed for Imran Khan to lose power, esp after he refused to meet CIA chief Burns over protocol issuse.
@SriLankaTweet In a criminal case, it is the state that prosecutes, not the victim party. The AG must field a solid team to face the accused’s posse of lawyers. The victim can be represented as the aggrieved party. Why no lawyer agreed to appear for her?
