@editingemily The best developer experience that can be optimized for automation/operability. Either at all cost is a bad time for the other, which is only ever counter-productive in the aggregate.
If I get an email that says "Corey, this is my 5th email and I'd appreciate a reply," then I panic, read it, and find that it's your shitty passive aggressive drip campaign?
I will *NEVER* do business with your company. Be smarter.
I’ve been saying for a while now that devs don’t want to deal with operational concerns, for the most part. And I always get push back.
But I swear the last dozen consulting calls I’ve been on have been about how to pull ops responsibility off devs while still being DevOps.
Very long Sunday thread on the extent to which we overestimated the Russian military, a bit about the war, and on how we should think about Russian military power. 1/
Leaders scheduling 1-on-1s fall into 3 categories in terms of calender event title used:
1. <leader> // <me>
2. <me> // <leader>
3. <me>
Huge tell for what kind of leader you are and what the general vibe of the conversation is going to be.

1. The term ‘dead equity’ came up this week in conversation. I get it. A founder has taken significant dilution over successive rounds, and now wonders where it all went. Some perhaps to a departed co-founder, some to an early investor you haven’t spoken to in years.
@AustonWhite3@brhodes And none of that makes anything @brhodes said untrue, or even inaccurate or misleading: that while the deal was in place, with the US' participation, it was achieving its stated goals, and when the US pulled out, it predictably was no longer.
@AustonWhite3@brhodes Yes and when the US pulled out the whole thing fell apart, since they were supplying some of not the bulk of the carrots and were now only going to be bringing sticks. Can't take your ball, go home, and expect everyone else to keep playing by the same rules as before.
