To keep the spirits up, Marco and I occasionally did some singing throughout the 10 hour first night. The second night we were not in the mood for that anymore 😁

The most special moment for me was when we rode scenic byway 12 near Escalante, where a magical landscape unfolds to drive through. I had tears in my eyes for minutes. Indescribable.

It's currently 12:30 here in the Panquitch time station, at 366 miles. We shower here and drop our night gear from last night (long descents in 5 degrees, brrr) 150 more miles to go with some nasty climbs and intense heat. Fingers crossed.

This ride is breathtaking. Now at mile 200, at Escalante. Going into the night. Feeling ok. A bit tired 🤪. Trying not to think of how much climbing we have to do 😱

5:00am, on our way to St. George UT with an SUV full of bikes, carbs and stuff we did not forget. 7 hours of driving to go. This will be the first time I'll just drive through Vegas.

People pursue the impossible to let desire triumph over reason. Without some insanity I would have never hacked into the RAF, built a global game community, solved crime with AI, made SIG a security authority, united standards or asked my wife out for our first date. Crazy!
