🚨🚨🚨 Official per RVFSD: The water will flow on Monday 10/9. Thank you to the board for your work, and tireless effort, countless meetings, emails, and support of community partners. Thank you to the City of Scottsdale and EPCOR. Thank you to all who helped. Moving forward!
Back then, residents told me that the community's infighting over finding solutions was "vicious," pitting neighbor against neighbor.
At recent meetings, I've seen people who were on different sides of that dispute have friendly, casual conversations. Truly a full circle moment.
BREAKING: I'm told that temporary water will begin flowing to Rio Verde Foothills on Monday morning. This comes after months of uncertainty for the community. Now, the challenge remains finding a long-term, permanent fix to its water woes.

The council unanimously votes to approve the agreement with the stipulation that @rvfsdaz must work with city staff to create a traffic mitigation plan for haulers. That includes Mayor David Ortega with a “yes” vote.
“It’s a good day” and “excellent deal,” city leaders say.
@scottsdaleazgov voted today to approve an IGA with @rvfsdaz to treat water outside Scottsdale’s water portfolio for use by #RioVerdeFoothills. Thank you to everyone that had a hand in assisting our community and getting us to where we are today. We now have security in knowing that we have access to water until @EPCOR is online for our long term solution through @CorpCommAZ
