“Revanth Reddy Zindabad” slogans echoed. Firecrackers burst in Ameenpur as HYDRAA launched a massive crackdown on the alleged land empire of M.A. Mukeem.

• HYDRAA carried out a major demolition and land protection drive in Ilapur, Ameenpur - 861 acres of government land worth ₹15,000+ crore were secured

📌Structures demolished
• Guest house / luxury farmhouse linked to M.A. Mukeem
• A vacant 6-floor building allegedly built by his brother M.A. Azeem
• Officials said these structures were raised in violation of court status quo orders

📌Why this became big?
• Locals alleged Mukeem had grabbed layouts and sold plots for years
• Residents claimed people were threatened and illegal land deals continued despite court disputes
• Some said they had gone to court to protect their plots while fresh encroachments kept happening

📌What Officials alleged?
• accused Mukeem of running a land mafia network in the area for over two decades
• Cited 19 criminal cases against Mukeem, including serious offences
• alleged hundreds of crores were made through illegal plot sales
• Ranganath said there was no stay order on today’s demolitions

📌Who is M.A. Mukheem?
Local residents and plot owners from Rajagopal Nagar Colony and the Electric Employees Housing Society celebrated the action by bursting crackers. They accused Mukheem of running a "mafia raj" for two decades.
• Mukheem reportedly faces 19 criminal cases, including charges of double murder, attempt to murder, and threatening government officials (MRO).
• Using his influence and status as a practicing advocate, Mukheem allegedly encroached on government land, created fraudulent documents, and sold thousands of plots to unsuspecting buyers, amassing hundreds of crores.
• While the land was tied up in court disputes, Mukheem allegedly altered the nature of the land by building a private estate with swimming pools and horse stables, directly defying High Court interim orders.

Residents are already facing severe hardships due to inadequate facilities, and the area is becoming increasingly congested with high-rise developments without matching infrastructure.
