THANK YOU UGANDA FOR STANDING WITH ME!
Five days of hell but you still stood for the truth, for freedom, for justice and for a better country!
Thank you my President @HEBobiwine and everyone that put together every piece of effort and prayer to realize my freedom!
Thank you!
I checked on Dr. @kizzabesigye1 on Friday. Sensing my broken spirit, he gently reminded me that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that God is alive.
In my frustration, I told him that God is taking far too long to rescue us from the dungeons of the dictator and his son.
He looked at me and added, "God's timing is perfect timing."
If KB who has endured the Luzira dungeons for a year and a half remains this strong and full of hope, who am I to despair?

Freedom of expression, anti-corruption activism, and journalistic duty are fundamental human rights guaranteed under the Constitution of Uganda.
Abducting citizens and Secretly detaining them without charge or access to legal counsel is a direct violation of their rights and basic dignity.
We refuse to stay silent while those who speak truth to power are targeted.
We demand for an immediate end of incommunicado detention.

President @KagutaMuseveni, Sam Mugumya's mother is pleading for her son. Ten long months ago, he was abducted in broad daylight in Mbarara by security agents and has disappeared without a trace. If he is suspected of any offence, order that Sam is produced before a court of law, not held illegally by your army.
I was standing next to you when you promised Ugandans an end to disappearances, abuse by security forces, and extrajudicial killings. The test of that promise is now.
Return Sam to his family. End this mother's agony. #FreeSamMugumya

We often believe that the blessings we enjoy are rooted in the prayers, sacrifices, and goodwill of our parents. When an elderly mother like this is made to witness her son being belittled or mistreated without just cause and outside the bounds of fairness and justice, it is deeply painful. She may appear vulnerable, as do many mothers of her generation, but her tears and heartfelt words do not go unnoticed in the eyes of God. History has a way of reminding us that actions have consequences, and sooner or later, the unexpected often unfolds in ways no one anticipates.
Sam Mugumya's mother says she is in so much pain as a parent, who doesn't know the whereabouts of her son. What is most troubling her heart is not knowing whether her son is alive or dead.
It is now day 297 since @SamMugumya was abducted.

My son, never pour your wealth just to buy the respect of strangers.
The people who happily drink your expensive beer today will suddenly stop picking up your phone calls the day a financial storm hits your house.
Put your money to work instead. A working shilling will never sing your praises in public, but it will silently defend your dignity when the crowds disappear.
Be blessed.
