Social media is an interesting place.
The slinging of arrows behind the anonymity of a screen often outweighs the opportunity to hype each other. And sometimes, we all take life far too seriously.

Brooks Auger...LFG!
4IP | 1H | 0R | 6Ks | 1BB
This was Auger's 4th outing of the year, and he's allowed JUST 1 earned run, and he has 20Ks to JUST 3 walks...WOW! His ERA is 0.77, his average against is .190, and his WHIP is JUST 0.94.
Dude is a professional glove hitter...With Multiple Pitches! 40 strikes in 54 pitches (74%), and led 9 of the 14 hitters he faced with a strike. Smaller slider did a good job gathering strikes on the perimeters, and in locations that couldn't be ambushed, bigger breaking ball, with more depth, acted as a wipeout, fastball was very good to all locations to set all that up. And, as he usually does, he executed ALL DAY.
One thing I really like about the way he pitches is that he never floats. Meaning, every pitch he throws has his full concentration, which speaks to how competitive he is. #dodgers #dodgersprospects
Brooks Auger is on the board for 2026!
Auger gave the High A Great Lakes a scoreless open(er) on Friday night.

Auger did a GREAT job working around traffic and doing his best work when it mattered the most. One cool thing about his outing is that he picked to 1st twice in a row, which meant the runner at 1st knew he couldn't pick again, unless he actually picked the runner off.
So...
The runner attempted to steal second, but Auger was good enough at getting the ball to home plate, and the runner was thrown out.
His fastball was touching 97, and for the 1st outing of the year, that's an LFG! He pairs that with a really effective cutter, which stays off of barrels (in the zone), a ++ change, slider & curveball. So, his stuff has powerful enough elements to get strike outs, but he also has enough barrel missing stuff to be efficient when needed. And, he has a diversified enough arsenal to face a lineup 3 times or more, although his first outing here was more limited in terms of pitch count. #dodgers #dodgersprospects
