Rwanda plans to introduce nuclear power in the early 2030s, and @IAEAorg has been supporting the country along the way & will continue to do so.
Welcomed đ·đŒ @RwandaInfra's @zimuyenzi at #IAEAGC where we also exchanged on Rwandaâs work to expand cancer care through #RaysOfHope, as well as the use of nuclear science for water security and climate-resilient agriculture.
Congratulations on two successful editions of the Nuclear Energy Innovation Summit on Africa (NEISA) in Kigali.
Hello @Mwijukyeivan â we saw that post and the questions it raised, and we do not agree with the ethnic extremism expressed. One can have their opinion about Rwanda, but they should not misrepresent Rwandans or associate us with that kind of thinking. If the post was about Uganda, it should be kept Ugandan and not drag us into it. As you rightly point out, Rwanda does not subscribe to ethnic extremism, we have worked hard to leave this behind us. We do not need it and do not want it. Our national vision and efforts in the last 32 years have been about uniting Rwandans, and we will continue to safeguard this fundamental political choice.

Lamine Yamal on Lionel Messi after Spainâs FIFA World Cup triumph over Argentina.
đŁïž Lamine Yamal: âTonight I lifted the World Cup for Spain, but I also experienced something Iâll tell my children one day. The man who once held me as a baby was standing on the other side of the pitch, fighting for the same dream. Football has a beautiful way of bringing stories full circle.â
âWhen I looked at Messi after the final whistle, I didnât just see an opponent. I saw the player who made millions of kids, including me, believe football could be art. I saw the man whose videos I watched over and over, trying to copy things that nobody else could do.â
âI know this defeat will hurt him. You donât play with that much passion, carry your country again and again, and lose a World Cup final without feeling pain. Even in defeat, he kept demanding the ball, creating chances and refusing to stop believing. Thatâs what champions do.â
âPeople will talk about Spain winning this World Cup, and they should. But theyâll also remember that, at an age when most legends have already retired, Messi was still making the worldâs best defenders panic every time he touched the ball. Thatâs extraordinary.â
âThe photo of Messi bathing me became one of footballâs most iconic images. Today we took another picture together, but this time I could thank him face to face. Without players like him, kids like me wouldnât dare dream this big.â
âOne day another generation will replace mine too. Thatâs football. But there will never be another Lionel Messi. Records can be broken and trophies can be won, but inspiring an entire generation to fall in love with the game is something only a few people in history will ever achieve.â
âTonight belongs to Spain. Tomorrow, the debates will continue. But my respect for Lionel Messi will never change. He didnât need to win this final to prove who he is. For me, heâll always be one of the greatest players football has ever seen, and sharing the pitch with him was a privilege Iâll carry for the rest of my life.â
Big thanks to @FIFAcom and the
@GlblCtzn !
