The Integrated Peace Support Operations training for the students of the Senior Command and Staff Course at the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College (RDFCSC) commenced today.

The students comprise seventy-one officers from the Rwanda Defence Force, two officers from the Rwanda National Police, and two officers from the Rwanda Correctional Service.

Seventy-five (75) students of the Junior Command and Staff Course from the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College (RDFCSC), are currently attending Integrated Peace Support Operations (PSO) Module at the Rwanda Peace Academy (RPA) in Musanze.

The one-week training entitled Regional Lessons Learnt Workshop & the Regional Lead Trainers’ Course on Prevention of Recruitment & Use of Children in Armed Violence that was conducted at the Rwanda Peace Academy in Musanze from 16 February to 20 February 2026 ended successfully.

The Regional Lessons Learnt Workshop and the Regional Lead Trainers’ Course on Prevention of Recruitment and Use of Children in Armed Violence commenced today at the Rwanda Peace Academy (RPA) in Musanze.

The one-week course was organized in partnership between the Rwanda Peace Academy and the United Nations Human Rights Office in Rwanda.

A total of twenty-seven (27) officers from the Rwanda Defence Force, Rwanda National Police, Rwanda Correctional Service, and civilian officers from various institutions in Rwanda attended the course.

The International Human Rights Law (IHRL) in Peace Support Operations (PSO) Course that was conducted at the Rwanda Peace Academy (RPA) in Musanze from 3 November ended today, Friday 7 November 2025.

The course was officially opened by the Director of the Rwanda Peace Academy, Col (Rtd) Jill Rutaremara. Present at the opening ceremony were the Human Rights Officer at the UN Country Office in Rwanda, Mr. Evaristus Ntani Ngoran and course facilitators.

The ongoing course will run up to 7 November 2025 and is organized in partnership between the Rwanda Peace Academy and the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Office in Rwanda.

Twenty-five military and police officers from Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, and South Sudan, as well as from the EASF Headquarters have successfully completed the Regional Training of Trainers Course on Prevention of Recruitment and Use of Children in Armed Violence.
