@nd_winencheese Now that I've had some fun, I will admit that Notre Dame is legit. They are top five for sure. Probably top 3. I believe BYU is too. We'll see. The only knock I have against the Irish is that it looked like the moment was too big for your QB on a few plays.
@Robbyboberts@ESPNRittenberg Great take from Bill Conneley's ESPN article: "The odds of the Cougars stopping one more Irish play and still coming away with the win were solid." He cites the Irish' poor success rate throughout the game.
@Robbyboberts@ESPNRittenberg Ha, ha. "the rest of the game, where we got beat, doesn't matter. Only the last second of the game matters!" Your team had 59:59 to win, and you couldn't. But for sure you were gonna in that last .01.
@Robbyboberts@ESPNRittenberg Never you mind that Notre Dame got outplayed, and should have lost by 17 if not for BYU mistakes. "But the last play was no fair to us"
@wwalsh@DerekYoungKSO I mean the national media. They would 100% ignore this if it were a Big 12 team getting the shaft. Wear it blue blood fan. See if you like the fit! π
@BenCriddleShow I suspect it's because he knows that BYU outplayed the Irish. Oline was more than a match for their defensive front. BYU's offensive success rate was more than 10% higher than ND's. The best team won that game regardless of refs.
@ClayTravis At least Clay is willing to acknowledge Western Michigan. Many national influencers wont because they ignored WM's claims in favor of the blue-blood team. Now the blue blood is getting "screwed", but this time they all want justice. Coincidence?
@ClayTravis Here's a solution for Notre Dame, don't let it come down to the last play. ND were favored by double digits, but got outplayed. BYU overcame their mistakes. The Irish didn't. BYU didn't get every call. BYU had a call that should have been OPI called DPI on ND's go-ahead TD.
@theirishtribune Dont read Bill Conneley's ESPN article if you're a Notre Dame fan or media member trying to justify ND's loss: "the Cougars had a...advantage in success rate (47.8% to 38.0%) and more...in the red zone(64.3% to 30%)...despite being without...RB LJ Martin". The best team won.
