@agnesmaria@TMobile Right on! If others don't see how having a $5,000 Amazon gift card can help pay off credit card debts, they're either lacking imagination of they're here to troll.
@DrJoeHanson@PBS@PBSDS@okaytobesmart Maybe that was one evolutionary step; a hermaphroditic organism just exploded it's generic material out and suddenly the result was more 'fit' than those which didn't. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Looking forward to future videos, thanks for your time, @DrJoeHanson
@DrJoeHanson@PBS@PBSDS@okaytobesmart I understand the benefits of sexual reproduction, but at T-1, when there wasn't sexual reproduction (so still asexual only), why were sexual tendencies developing? Why were they almost there but not quite functional?
@DrJoeHanson@PBS@PBSDS@okaytobesmart There must have been some benefit to having almost but not quite functional male and female reproductive capabilities.
@DrJoeHanson@PBS@PBSDS@okaytobesmart Serious question: if every stage of evolution has to be advantageous (or at worst not problematic) how did sexual reproducers evolve from asexual reproducers? What was the benefit of proto-male and proto-female sex organs? Before they could reproduce, both had to be functional?
