It’s simple: when we give kids the care they need, we set them up for success in the classroom, said @GovSherrillNJ when she joined us in Orange on Thurs. to shine the spotlight on the importance of protecting our kids so that they can thrive in school.
Every single one of us has a part to play to keep our entire community healthy, she emphasized. That’s why @RWJBarnabas has partnered with the @NJDeptofHealth for its “Stay Well, Learn Well.” initiative, to expand access to recommended childhood immunizations, school physicals and preventive healthcare services.
Our thanks to Governor Sherrill; Dr. Novneet Sahu, Deputy Commissioner, Public Health Services, NJDOH; Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr..; the Orange Board of Education and the students and staff at the Forest Street Community School (thank you for hosting us!), as well as our many community partners joining us in this effort to help keep our communities well.

Different tiles, different stories coming together to exemplify one unified community. An innovative, hands-on pixel art workshop gave rise to this two-story mosaic, a literal fabric woven by the hands of so many different people. Every single tile is unique—featuring different colors, patterns, and perspectives—yet, when you put them all together, they seamlessly blended into one breathtaking masterpiece.
This artwork will serve as a calming, unique focal point in the lobby of our outpatient Specialty and Cancer Care Center at the Vogel Medical Campus in Tinton Falls.
Comprised of 68,165 individual glass tiles and 325 tile grids, the finished mural combines traditional craftsmanship with modern digital aesthetics for a vibrant, iridescent effect. The piece was officially installed during the week of July 20, standing as a beautiful, permanent testimony to our shared connection. Here, watch the process of how this mosaic came to life!
Thanks to all of our team members, board members, and community members whose creativity made this a reality!

Manigan, President and CEO of RWJBarnabas Health; Eric Carney, President and CEO of Monmouth Medical Center; Balpreet Grewal-Virk, SVP of Community Health; Barbara Mintz, SVP of Social Impact and Community Investment; and Dr. Kenneth Granet, CMO of MMC, for their leadership in bringing this work to life – and to the many team members who helped make today possible.
