These families were creating full names based on practicality or expedience; not long running, traditional or religious practices. There was no erasing of one's history or family by Euro Govts. Seems was just a tax collecting issue

@Sech21 @Boxy_FT SAVE requires proof of citizenship. Normal DL and REAL ID don’t show that. Enhanced-REAL ID does (cause you prove it with birth certificate at DMV) but only border states with Canada have E-REAL ID as an option. And only 35-45% of people in those states get the citizenship option
