@andrewwoodroffe and that is a real shame. I agree to a certain extent the level of competition has dropped. I grew up watching the commonwealth games and world records getting broken particularly in the pool and on the track.
I hope they continue, but it maybe a little rose tinted view

previously used to support this event could be diverted now to support the domestic events programme in the UK a bit more with a view of getting participation levels back up to somewhere near 2019 levels

Grim news indeed, this is a serious blow to Triathlon in the UK. Maybe BT now need to re think their Events strategy and although there wont necessarily be a saving by not hosting a WTCS event as it sounds like there just isn't the money there in the first place, maybe resources

Meet Dave Roberts who took part in our swim at Loch Morlich last year. A keen kayaker who previously competed at international level, he had a below the knee amputation in October 2021. It didn't stop him though from getting on with it! #LochMorlich #inspirational
