Consent ✅ Interesting F&A case! 🦶👣

F 40s, increasing mid & rear foot pain on starting HIIT training - 10 year history low level ache & describing foot 'wonky' & unstable on uneven terrain

Observation - rear foot varus alignment R side vs L neutral

Stiff, painful mid foot & subtalar joint on pronation / supination

Weight bearing X-rays - talonavicular joint osteoarthritis & rear foot varus

MRI - Mueller-Weiss syndrome - lateral navicular collapse (? secondary to osteonecrosis) leading to pseudo-deformity of rear foot, TNJ OA & effusion, & now secondary subtalar joint degenerative changes

For CT to evaluate further - will need MDT approach - podiatry / biomechanical input, ortho review, inject TNJ for short-medium term pain management
