I remember 9/11 vividly. I was in High School at the time and growing up where I did we had an incredible vantage point from elevated terrain in Essex County where, on as clear of a day as that was, you could view the entire NYC skyline. I remember the class I was in, who I was next to, and the confused chaos that ensued. Fast-forward 25 years later and I think we, as a Country, have much more work to do now than we did then. The amount of vitriol and hatred between blurred political lines is deeply depressing. Hence why I never speak to it often. This Country needs emotionally strong and intelligent leadership. But maybe more than anything, this Country needs to learn compassion without having to compromise. It takes resolve, it takes discipline, it takes strength. Nothing good ever comes easily. But if we want the best for OUR CHILDREN / the next generation, I don’t see any other way. God Bless 🇺🇸, never forget 9.11.2001.
