My feelings about Sam Pittman are well documented. I don't just like him. I adore him. Jobs run their course. He knows that, as we all do. But I hope Arkansas fans appreciate that they'll never have a coach who will love that job and that place more than he did, and still does.

Yurachek is a terrible fundraiser and his relationship with donors has been awful. Calipari is the only reason our basketball NIL is fine. But donors are the only reason Calipari is even here. Leadership matters, and we need it badly. Yurachek has to go along with Pittman. 💯

Fans will want a “big name” replacement. I would caution to not fall for that. Names to avoid: Gruden, Gundy, Dabo, Lashlee. You need someone that understands how to build elite defenses and coach in the SEC so you can recruit and win. Keep Bobby as OC.

With the new rules, if you let Pittman go now, it opens a 30 day transfer window. Any player who hasn’t played 4 games can redshirt and bale. Not sure we can afford that. He is gone at the end of the year regardless.
