DAIS 5th and 6th graders use team built and coded Lego Mindstorms Robots to play Robot Rocket League (like soccer but with remote controlled cars) #issedu#thisisdais#legominstorms @MeiirmanK
@agarrett1212 Hi Amy! It was a super fun project. G1 - G4 pencil and paper designs were sent directly to our laser cutter. G5 - G8 scanned their drawings into Illustrator and traced their designs with Ai tools. Students will use their journals through the year to sketch/plan future projects!
DAIS’s Pop-up art show is STEAMing up the Atrium. Featured work includes G1 - 8 laser cut STEAM journals, MS self portraits created with Photoshop, and various PreK - 8 art work.

Awesome to see the MS student designed and built putt putt course being put to good use during our community’s Fall Fest.

@jenniferleblan3 @daiseagles Thanks for sharing. Happy to hear the student could dig into this awesome project before leaving DAIS. I just tried out BrinkLink. Great way for students to work in a 3D space and create models!
@ktofua It’s a highlight (rose) and lowlight (thorn) from a specific event. It’s a great way to get students talking about their day, week, or in this case spring break!
@ktofua 2. During in-person teaching I played Kahoot with my Math class every Friday. Students loved it. It would be a mix of math questions from the week plus random trivia about students from a Google form I sent out at the beginning of the year (ie Johnny T's favorite food)
