If folks can only remember two things about this horrible union ballot measure:
1) The arbitrary $150,000 income cap would kick at least 20,000 children off the program and punish families like the average married firefighter and nurse.
2) It would clawback millions of dollars of scholarship money already awarded to children
Parents should be in charge of their children’s education. Decline to sign any ESA related ballot measure!
Huge thanks to @ClarkRimsza & @AZlovesESAs for working to protect educational freedom in AZ!
As a mom and lifelong education advocate, I know that students win when families have a choice.
Join me in encouraging everyone you know to DECLINE TO SIGN any ESA petitions this year!
Arizona’s ESA program now serves 100,000+ students with $1.1B in annual scholarships. The proposed “Protect Education Act” would add income caps and new requirements that CSI estimates could immediately impact thousands of current ESA families, with more affected over time as incomes rise faster than the cap adjustment.
Universal ESA didn’t start Arizona’s school choice shift, it expanded on a trend families had already been driving for more than a decade.

How could the proposed income cap in the "Protect Education Act" impact Arizona families? CSI's new Ballot Guide report analyzes the immediate and long-term effects of this proposal if passed.

So 30 public schools have closed since 2020 but our public school spending has gone up about $1B annually since then?
Sounds like the public school leaders are the problem, not the parents who take their kids out of the public school system. 👍🏼
Scott McNeil is out as executive director of the Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee; no reason given for his sudden departure. ADLCC c0-chair @priya4az promises "exciting news" in the coming days on the campaign's path forward.
NEW: The non-partisan @CSInstituteAZ is out with a new report on how a proposed ballot initiative will severely limit many Arizona kids from education access.
Over 400,000 kids will lose access overnight — that number will eventually rise to 800,000 over time.
The opponents of school choice in Arizona are trying to rewrite history as they fight to cripple Empowerment Scholarship Accounts. In a new op-ed, @azfec Scot Mussi explains why voters should not buy it.
🚨 Campaign finance complaint filed against anti-school choice initiative for lying about source of funding!
The Protect Education Accountability Now Committee (PEANC)—the group behind the anti-ESA ballot initiative—claims only 9% of its funding is from out of state.
That’s false.
Their own campaign finance report shows the truth: 98% of their funding—nearly $4.5 MILLION—comes from out-of-state, all from the National Education Association in Washington, D.C.
Let that sink in.
This isn’t an Arizona movement.
It’s a DC teachers union trying to buy our ballot and take away school choice from Arizona families—while deceiving voters about who’s funding it.
They said 9%. The real number is 98%.
We’ve pulled the receipts. See for yourself. 👇

Arizona has the most successful, free market ESA program in the country. That’s why Republican lawmakers support our current program, and are fighting back against regulating homeschool and private school ESA families!
.@edchoice just released a report on Arizona's ESA program transactions. Here is the key finding: Only 1-2% of all ESA spending is unallowable, and only about 9% of all transactions are for unallowable items. The sky isn't falling. https://t.co/hAT45nOtFH

From the most comprehensive AZ ESA spending study to date: 99% of ESA spending is proper educational purposes.
Partisan activists desperate for clicks have misleading headlines…the 100,000 AZ families using ESAs have the facts on their side. https://t.co/chP1pJQuBD
In light of disgraced “journalist” Craig Harris duping someone from ADE into saying that ONE of Craig’s “20% ESA fraud” figures was accurate, it’s worth noting that he cited at least THREE different “20%” figures, two of which were false and one of which was true but misleading.
