@AlexMacIsaacMTG Hey there, looking to play this deck this weekend! Wife and I just had a baby, so was interested in a more linear deck like this. If you had any sideboard advice that would be amazing. Happy to buy a guide or whatever too, just didnt see one in my limited search.
@MTG_Arena@Wizards_Help did the ACQ time window get expanded? This was taken yesterday afternoon. Normally the matchmaking queues end at 7pm according to the announcements you posted
Also can we talk about how nothing at common hits planeswalkers in this set? I thought "Creature or planeswalker" was part of the design space for like the past 5-6 years. WOTC designing too much UB recently and forgot?
@fireshoes@Limitedlevelups
I was 1 draw step away from going 7-1 in the ACQ, opp hit Crackle with Power X = 3 (15 damage direct) and killed me. Then I lost g3 of that match, then 0-2ed the next match.
Have had absolute heartbreakers the last 2 AC weekends 😬
Lost a heartbreaker Rd 9, g3 to miss day 2 in Historic :( . Played Dimir Control. List felt solid. Couldn't break the format so went with thoughtseize + frog.
@MtgNosferatu@fireshoes@MTG_Arena In 2023 they resolved a client issue (crashed g3 and couldn't reconnect) by adding 1 win to my record which got me into day 2. I hope they give you a similar resolution
@MTG_Arena I hope a reasonable resolution for the bo3 qualifier can be reached. I invested a lot of time to practice for this event and the qualifier specifically.
Chairs suck for anyone over 200lbs, bathrooms overcrowded and smell rancid, any seats near the door are sub freezing temps, added 600+ seats with no extra prizes. How about some accountability and not let the t/o just do whatever they want at the players expense. Abuses of power?
The con center for #SpotlightEclipsed is the worst I've ever been to for magic. Horrible location, no coat check (middle of winter?), barely heated, and near nothing lol. Even by 2026 MtG event standards this is pretty bad
@jakeformayor Not embarrassing at all, very impressive. Playing a PT at all is an accomplishment that should be celebrated. It's okay to not be a PT regular. I actively prefer being an "upper level amateur" since I don't want to put too many hours into the game.
