Laura Losh (nee Paolini) Everton, Liverpool, 1987 by Rob Bremner.

Laura Losh was a resistance fighter during the Second World War. One day, she encountered three British soldiers, including one from Anfield, Liverpool, who had escaped from a POW camp and were freezing and starving in a snow-covered field in Italy.

Risking her life, she hid them from Nazi soldiers in an underground storage bunker until the end of the war. After the war, she married the soldier from Anfield, Harry, and lived out the rest of her life in Liverpool until passing away on Remembrance Sunday in 2013 aged 96.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

@foxpunter We conceded because he got his tactics and shape wrong. Yes, after that, there was fear but he left a tactically inexperienced player exposed and didn’t change it. It was obvious from the first ten minutes that our left side was being targeted yet he did nothing until half time
