Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach.

The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

@Makomakotagu @Colferblueeyes I grew up in America. He’s speaking softly or the video isn’t quite as clear in the beginning and then he’s speaking really quickly. I got the “I love all my children” part but everything before that was sort of vague. It isn’t your English. But your choice in celebrity’s is 💯.

ITA! I loved everything t Warblers did & said. I loved acapella from college (prior 2 Glee) & at t time (IDK y) I thought T Warblers were being sung by T Whiffenpoofs who I’d seen sing a # of times. They were fantastic!! Not as good as T Din n Tonics but I’m biased. But this just shows my age, acckkk! And yes, I believe DC was better than the original. IMPO. Other ppl can bite me.

@kgleeb Slightly off point but how is it that everybody outside McKinley was LGBTQ+ friendly (s2ep18) but just 2 eps later Kurt’s elected Prom Queen? I feel as if Blaine lived in a bubble & when Kurt was w him he was ok but outside of that, he cont’d 2 get hate on his own. It’s just sad.

@kgleeb Yes, I have no idea why the writers had Brittany say mean things to Blaine but she was nice & kind to Kurt from t very beg of Glee to the end. Like she was there at Single Ladies helping out before he had supposedly become friends w T Cheerios. I loved their interactions! 🥰😂
