Can use everyone’s help and signal on this.
Earlier today one of my friends and an SMC family member told me about a local veteran in need.
This is Claire Atwell I’m with in the picture.
He is 98 years old and still in fighting shape. He is an Army Korean War veteran and also served in the Navy.
His identity was stolen and his accounts have been drained as well as other fraudulent loans and things happening with the identity theft.
He didn’t have much to begin with and now he is a little desperate while the AG and local police sort things out.
We are taking the next couple days to raise some money for him to help until it’s straightened out.
Any amount helps and it all goes to him.
If you can’t help we ask you to share. He doesn’t have anyone to help him

Maine Excursion, Day 10. Woke up in Va and made it home. Just like that, our adventure has concluded. 3,458 Mi, 252.186 gallons of gas, 10 days to explore Maine & Vermont. Time well spent.
Maine Excursion, Day 9. Pointed the wagon south for home. Made it to Staunton, with a detour through some Vermont small towns, the Adirondacks, and a stop at Fort William Henry. No serious disagreements were had with The Last of the Mohicans. 1 deer, many turkeys & no meese seen
Maine Excursion, Day 8 cont. Made it to Chittenden Campground to make camp and slumber. No meese seen. Lots of turkeys seen as well as the town Beetlejuice was filmed in.
@caseymcmillanmd Love it. We used to got Oconaluftee and watch the elk come down to feed in evenings. Elk have flourished well since reintroduction i believe.
Maine Excursion, Day 7. Left Madewaska to enter North Maine Woods ar Allegash. Drove 250 miles on dirt & forest service roads to exit the south end of NMWs. 3.5M acres is alot. Multiple bridge outages made for considerable back tracking. Got to camp site along Kennebec River late
Maine Excursion, Day 8. Woke up in a great camp we couldn’t see last night. Leaving Maine today, in Farmington currently, headed to Vermont for the evening.
Maine Excursion, Day 6. Left Bear Mountain Lodge for Madewaska, ME. Found the most hospitable peoples on our trip thus far. Cruised US1 & Aroostook Hwy. no messe seen.
Maine Excursion, Day 5. Woke before the rain hit thankfully. Break down camp and head into Bar Harbor for whale watching. Received communiqué that voyage was canceled due to weather. Change of plans, drop Bar Harbor, aka Gatlinburg of Maine, to make progress in trip.
Maine Excursion, Day 4. Morning brought a short hike to the east side on Monhegan for an incredible sunrise and cliff views. Made it back from island and brought fog with us. Trekked to Blackwoods Camp in Arcadia NP to slumber before tomorrow s whale watching voyage.
