@ERCboxoffice@matthewstoller I think the better criticism here is about Disney. This is a company that use to make great adult oriented movies by Bruckheimer, M. Night under their Touchstone/Hollywood pictures brand, and they clearly have pivoted away from that. Glad they got X-Men, and Simpsons, I guess.
@Luiz_Fernando_J@SonyPictures@SpiderManMovie@MarvelStudios I appreciate Jacob’s performance and even the idea of how they connected at the end, just not having her appear after the hangout scene in any meaningful way was a downer, given their chemistry.
@DavidLeninhawk@ScottMendelson I am an avid Alamo goer probably 30-40 times a year in DC (2 locations) and Charlottesville, Va. I have not seen any notable decline. Even the QR thing is ended by the time the trailers end. What am I missing?
@ChairmanMeow82@ERCboxoffice which is why nothing but avatar movies since 1997 is so upsetting for cameron fans. Its not that i dislike Avatar and the sequels, they are not PEAK Cameron (T2), and yet we have had almost 30 years of only that expression of his talents.
@matthewstoller@bivens83306 Isn’t this more of an issue with the tax law that encourages tax write offs for not sharing the content than the actual merger itself? Additionally, they don’t owe anyone the right to any of their products on their streaming service in perpetuity (think Disney limited VHS vault)
Gotta be honest, this @ufc event at the White House looks spectacular. This is a big time show. I’m not there, and we all know all the complaints folks had about renovations at and around the White House, etc, but — to be fair — this is some impressive stuff I’m looking at. Props to UFC President @danawhite and the show they’ve put on. It’s Bigtime. Plain and simple!!!
@bwags@DrEgoTrip Saw F1 in PLF (DOLBY), IMAX (mall fake IMAX), regular digital, and Real IMAX, and PLF (DOLBY) was winner, besides the limited run it had in real IMAX, and it wasnt even close. The sound is so so so good, if you cannot get that 80 ft screen.
She says from a literal red carpet, surrounded by armed security, completely insulated from the horrors on our streets that Angelenos and their kids have to suffer through every day. I’m glad she doesn’t have to suffer the consequences of Karen and Nithya’s failures, but she’s in an elite minority and the rest of us want change.
