@FoxNews And every single U.S. President since has had slave holders in their family's lineage, even Barack Obama... well, all except one:

@MrsOWalker@Melinda00744507@SpencerHakimian Because today's military is in contact w/family regularly. Texts, calls, video calls, etc. If all the sudden thousands of parents didn't hear from their enlisted & deployed kids for weeks/months, there'd be tons of news stories about it, with parents crying cover-up, etc.
@CDrummeRG@ApexSeeker_ Agree, but you left out the biggest & most common daily teacher: the media. Racisim & division sells, it causes uproars, which leads to more articles about racism & division. The cycle is VERY profitable. Peace unites, is boring & doesn't pay the bills. https://t.co/0yyjU2vC5J
@drivingoutlaw@ScottTArcher Alt theory: $200/year is 2X what avg car drivers pay annually in gas tax. Pass a $200 EV fee off as equivalent, while EVs are a vast minority = govt faced no real opposition while doubling tax revenue for every EV replacing a gas car. Cash grab, as they know EV #s are growing.
@lilbrudder2@RockChartrand Yes, voluntarily. No employer can force me to accept their job/pay, or prevent me from finding jobs w/higher pay or using free library internet for free college classes to learn new skills & get an even better paying job or to start my own biz. The path/pay I choose is voluntary.
@TazSims11@meechelleb22 He did it in America, creating American companies, meaning anyone can do it here (American or not).
And I'll refrain from insulting in return, since its a clear sign of a weak argument and/or intellect.
@TazSims11@meechelleb22 My opinion is that your critique's not valid; apples to oranges. And I'd defend anyone who took great risk, and had great success, providing hundreds of thousands of new jobs, and creating thousands of new millionaires from loyal blue-collar workers. An American success story!
@TazSims11@meechelleb22 Now Google/research "SpaceX salary for Elon Musk, and how much of his trillion is unrealized gains?". If needed, Google/research just "unrealized gains" to understand why we don't tax people annually on the value of their collectable Air Jordan's (i.e. no tax until they're sold).
@ocolin26@cybrgalaxy This was true 10+ yrs ago (or maybe today in a non-Tesla EV). But for the past 5 yrs, in a Tesla, I've not had this issue. SO many Superchargers, and Tesla navigation plans the charging enroute. I can't get my family in and out of Buc-ee's before the Tesla's done changing.
@theanswriz42@Starlink@elonmusk Agree; $250/mo. is too much for most GA pilots for a luxury/nice to have. Maybe Starlink doesn't really want this business? It's a shame for single engine piston pilots. Just glad I hadn't pulled the trigger on a Starlink Mini yet. I was about to, but looks like a no-go now. ๐ข
@userkrisg@technolust1@Tesla Agree robotaxis will have a place, and companies like @Turo show that many people are fine with renting out their own cars. Some even buy cars just to rent them out. So it may not be for you, but clearly is for some... to each their own.
@userkrisg@technolust1@Tesla Many will still own/drive/not change at all.
Some will drive but turn their cars into cybercabs when not in use to make $.
Others, instead of buying @ $500/mo (car, gas, maintenance, insurance, etc.), will take a cybercab everywhere @ $300/mo, saving $200/mo (just example #s).
@JaneidyEve@EricLDaugh Thanks. I appreciate your summary. Also found this video with translation (not his voice, just a dub in English): https://t.co/ZFujdFqfEk
@samtayyari@EricLDaugh He's a professional actor. That's why. But check his Instagram account, he's been passionate about his birth country for a long, long time.

@userkrisg@technolust1@Tesla It'll replace taxis for millions of people, but cost less. For others (not all) once taking cabs costs < owning a car, they won't buy a car. Not all like driving enough to pay more for it, and MANY cars sit parked 22+ hrs/day. So, some will choose to spend that $ elsewhere.
@LiftingLine@TimMurray133734@reddirtpablo@MW4Liberty No, the seller gains $100 cash (because they didn't want food, but can only spend EBT on food). So, they trade $200 in EBT/food for $100 cash... that can be spent on drugs, booze, clothes, purses, hair, nails, guns, or anything they choose (instead of having just $200 in food).
