It doesn’t matter how hard you train if your recovery is garbage you won’t see results.
Prioritize getting enough protein & calories, deep sleep 7-9 hours a night, get enough micronutrients and drink enough water.
And stop training hard 7 days a week.
“I’m not a morning person” is a BS excuse.
We are all morning people. It’s in our DNA.
The problem is no one is a “getting out of bed early when I’m tired” person because its difficult for 30 seconds.
Wearing more gym shark doesn’t make you grow more muscle...
Working your ass off in the gym and training smarter is what does that.
Invest in education for your training and nutrition.
If you get more jacked you’ll look better in the clothes you currently have.
You cannot “shock” or “confuse” your muscle into growth because your muscles don’t have brain cells.
You want faster results? Go after adaptation.
That happens from doing the same movements over and over again to get really proficient and therefore force the muscle to adapt.
America is the most obese nation in the world
20% of us are morbidly obese (at risk for death)
70% are overweight
Oh, and diabetes can cost $10,000-$12,000/yr & that isn’t including the other health complications that can come with it.
Scared? You should be. Now take action.
The most important muscle you can grow is your “saying no” muscle.
By growing this you will start to see other area of your life grow positively alongside it.
You don’t want to eat carbs? Hey you do you.
I’ll just be over here eating Chipotle bowls when I want while you check your ketones before you look at a bagel.
It’s okay if you get a little hungry when losing weight.
It doesn’t mean you’re starving yourself.
It just means that your body is doing its job and sending the right signal for more energy.
Which it still gets, just from excess fat stores.
Saying you want to lose fat and never track your food is like saying you want to go from New York to California without a map or GPS.
You may get there eventually but it’s going to take a lot longer and be much more difficult to do so.
It’s never one single choice that will define your success in your weight loss goals.
It’s a culmination of all the choices day in and day out that add up over time.
So if you fall off track at a meal, remember you can get right back on track with a good choice.
Anyone can recite the latest scientific research.
Not everyone can take that research, analyze it, implement it and get in the trenches to actually help people.
If you had a flat tire would you pull over and gouge the others and say the car is no good?
No.
Then why do you do that every time you fall off your fitness plan for a day?
Your body is more important than your car.
Treat it that way.
If you fall off, tomorrow is a new day.
There are no foods that will magically slim your waist.
There are no magic supplements that will incinerate body fat.
There are no shortcuts to results.
There is hard work, consistency and patience.
It won’t happen overnight.
But it will happen if you just keep going.
Any workout plan can make you sore. But not any workout plan can get you results.
If you are chasing soreness, stop. It’s not a metric of a good workout, despite what you may have been told.
When it comes to training, sometimes less really is more.
