@parkervb901 That was a big problem with NexGen.
2020 didn’t have our own pick, completely luck into Bane.
2021 total whiff on Ziaire pick.
2022 improbably lose the LAL pick (thanks Russ), missing on JDub, Dyson, Duren, etc.
All the while we’re too good to really be in the lottery.
Love and believe in Coward and Edey, but there’s a possibility they are both role players on this iteration.
Folks hungry for us to be competitive right away, but I hold this era is probably a failure if they don’t get at least one other good lottery pick.
I don’t get all the fretting about Coward. If Edey is 100%, then Coward is likely 3rd best/most important player of the core going forward behind Boozer and Edey.
And that makes sense. Boozer was a top 3 pick, Edey a top 10 pick. Coward was a good grab in the late lottery.
Blocked 3 jump shots last night and shot a career high in shot attempts. Happy with that in the 2nd summer league game.
Right in just 2 games, acting like we don’t already have a 60 game sample size of him being selfless and sharing the ball.
What happened to everyone whining like last year he wasn’t taking enough shots?
@ryanDelCa Exactly! I understand Ced took a lot of shots tonight and at times looked like he was forcing it but I think we needed to see him do that. Usually he doesn’t take enough shots. He’s going to figure it out
@WesleyJohnson_ I follow a lot of people who are critical like me, but also have a sense of humor about things.
There are red flags I just don’t engage with. Like it’s one thing to be critical of ZK, but if you’re actively demanding his removal every day, that’s gonna be a no for me.
Traditional Big - Edey
Shooting Big - Post*
Decision-Making Big (Indominus Rex) - Boozer

Only the first season of Quinten Post’s three-year, $30 million offer sheet from
Memphis is guaranteed, per sources. Yet there are ~$1.3M in unlikely incentives each season if Post were to make an All-Defense Team, so that extra money would count against the Warriors’ apron salary regardless of whether Post earns those accolades. Tricky provision Golden State has to consider before matching.
We don’t know the breakdown.
This could be 14/8/8 for all we know. This is also reporting from an agent, which rarely includes that some of that could be bonuses/incentives, team option, etc. cause that stuff isn’t sexy
Post signing might be what I’m lowest on through the Grizzlies offseason so far
His skillset and size is needed but that price tag for 3 years is a bit much
On Post offer sheet: This is rinse/repeat, but I’d caution fans not to assume too much about initial contract reporting. We don’t know structure/incentives/guarantee or non-guarantee details, etc.
@Isaac__NBA Saves you 7 million this year compared to Santis deal and you didn’t have to give up an asset to do it 🤷🏻♂️
Not a huge contract while also being a good tradable number.
Kinda strange, but we’ll see.
