I don’t want to see top ranked on-campus regular season matchups diluted for the benefit of 9-3/8-4 teams to get a participation award before getting smacked by a legit team

@C_Boeckman In 2024, we made the playoff as a 4 loss team because Nolan Hauser hit a 56 yard field goal to win the ACC Championship.

Although I was happy to make the playoff, as an honest CFB fan, I did not believe we deserved it or were capable of competing for a natty.

As a Clemson fan, even though it would increase playoff births, because we should earn it and compete.

As a CFB fan because it makes big games in the regular season less important.

Let’s not lower the bar because the SEC is dominant.

Not only does an expanded playoff open the door for resting starters late in the season, but it also makes a playoff birth less significant.
