Abdul El-Sayed is asked on MSNOW if he is worried that his anti-Zionist messaging "echoes an old antisemitic trope"
Abdul: "The idea that somehow we are going to use the spectre of antisemitism to defend what a foreign government is doing, does a deep disservice to the well-being of Jewish Americans in this country."
Jackie Alemany: "You haven't made that same tradeoff argument with regards to other items in the US's 800 billion dollar defense budget"
Abdul: "Oh I have, you just don't cover it. No, No, No. I have. You just don't cover it. I'll say the same thing about the money we send to Egypt, which is where my family comes from. So if you want to go ahead and call me anti-Egyptian, go ahead and do that"
@GoldenAgeHerald if that registration goes through, your vote will count- otherwise it will not. that is also voter fraud and is illegal but disregarding that, your vote won’t count (coming from a poll workers here). congrats at looking like a fool
@GoldenAgeHerald i don’t know what state you’re in, but your vote will not count. poll workers jobs are to give you a ballot and help you to vote regardless of your registration status. if you’re not registered, they will provisionally register you and you can submit a provisional ballot
@TiffanyFong_ The failsafes and checks in place at ballot counting stations make it so you have to be a citizen and resident in that state to vote, and also that registration is complete
@TiffanyFong_ Finally, as a poll worker myself, in California at least, we are only there to provide a positive voting experience for voters, all checking of registration and counting of votes and making sure people are who they say they are happens after they transport ballots and count them
@mexic0la_ I don’t know about swing states specifically, but i know in CA, you can vote in person assuming the state didn’t receive your mail ballot yet, and the in person ballot nullifies the mail ballot
