We didn't vote for President Musk, and the only way to vote against him is with our dollars and our attention.
I'm logging off the Musk-mobile for the final time today. You can find me over at Bluesky going forward. Hope to see you there! https://t.co/IIf5IW66tt
"There's no legislation that can bring those kids back." That's the same argument they made after Newtown.
Twenty kids died yesterday because we did nothing after the last school massacre. Now is our chance to stop the next one.
🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨
I have just released the full trading report on politicians in 2021.
In short, many beat the market.
They traded more than ever before.
And they made numerous unusually timed trades, resulting in huge gains.

A once-in-a-century pandemic cannot be the only thing that slows mass shootings in this country. It’s time for leaders everywhere to listen to the American people when they say enough is enough.
While not as easy to wrap your head around as a $15 minimum wage (which we absolutely need!), these sorts of smart policies can be almost as effective at reducing income inequality
Wall Street churns on high-frequency trading—putting everyday investors at risk. @BrianSchatz, @SenWarren, and I plan to introduce a bill to impose a tiny fee on Wall Street transactions to lower volatility, cut income inequality and invest the $$ in economic opportunity for all.
Very excited for the new post-Madigan era in Illinois Democratic politics. We now have the opportunity to transform Illinois from a national laughingstock to a national leader. A sorely needed fresh start for our great state!
As the Democratic State Central Committeeman for #IL06 I am committed to voting for the candidate that is for transparency, inclusion, and diversity within the Democratic Party as we continue into this new era.
Let's just be clear here: Literally all of this was obvious from the moment Trump came down the escalator: his contempt for democracy, his love of authoritarians and violence, and his utter unfitness.
And yet the entire GOP (with very few exceptions) went along with it.
I just want to note that in America, you don’t get to have one free coup attempt. That’s why we are readying Articles of Impeachment for introduction this Monday.
Can we please, for the love of everything we believe in, stop electing people that hate government. I wouldn’t go to a surgeon that hates surgery or a dentist thats repulsed by teeth. We need to start electing folks that believe good government works. #FridayThoughts
This is a thoughtful thread by @ezraklein. You don’t have to agree with all of it. But Maya Angelou once said in times or crisis, the nation needs thinkers. Rather than just screaming at each other, thoughtful reflection like this will make us a better democracy.
I am drawing up Articles of Impeachment.
Donald J. Trump should be impeached by the House of Representatives & removed from office by the United States Senate.
We can’t allow him to remain in office, it’s a matter of preserving our Republic and we need to fulfill our oath.
Trump is directly responsible for this insurrection and violence. He needs to be removed from office immediately. It is the Constitutional responsibility of Vice President Pence and the cabinet to exercise the power granted them by the 25th amendment.
Understand this: Donald Trump and his Republican enablers are trying to overturn the will of the people. They won’t succeed, but they are setting a dangerous precedent—and everyone who believes in democracy needs to speak out and say enough is enough.
Wish we were getting clear direction like this from more of our leaders.
Every time you decide to stay home instead of going out for non-essential activities you are helping beat this virus and getting us closer to returning to our normal lives!
So now that all that's over...
Stay. Home.
Seriously. Stay home.
If you can, work from home and eat from home and don't go hang out with people for a while. If you need stuff and can afford to, pay someone to bring it to you. Tip them exorbitantly.
It's very real out there.
@BZChifan9@tristanjangulo@NBCSPreps The mortality rate among those 75 and above is over 10%, not .002%. Again, the problem is if more people in the community have it, it increases the likelihood someone passes it to an elderly/immuno-compronised person who has a 1-in-10 chance of dying from it
