@WSOP ok sorry dumb question: the fine print has this defined as final 9 - is that true for all events, even 6-max or 8-max events (common for mix game formats) where final table is 6 / 8 and "unofficially" 7 / 9?

asking, because, obviously, i finished 8th in a 6-max WSOP event 😂😁

Have seen a lot of "omg tax" discourse on poker twitter lately. I don't want to get into the politics of it at all here but I want to show what a tax bill on $10M would look like - specifically for @LukeJu22 (congrats - epic score!! and what his federal tax bill would pay for.

@OldManCawfee @LukeJu22 yeah i don't quite understand it - per https://t.co/Q7v6v4xMT4 website. my best guess: social security tax is the individual contribution explicitly for SS (capped), but the 22.3% line item at bottom shows that is % of general federal income tax that also goes towards SS.

note - this is just for federal. for a fuller picture, there's also state (though not in WA where @LukeJu22 presumably files!) and local, and sales tax and property tax and all sorts of things that pay for shared goods/services...
