@NJL_Blancq I’ve never been given cooking facilities and my longest trust accommodation stay was 10 weeks. £15 food allowance should be absolutely fine!!
@YAS_NickS@OHVTech@YorksAmbulance The magnets that hold the carry chair cupboards closed aren’t particularly durable - they keep falling off. Any chance you can mention this?
@KirkleesCouncil@CahalBurke please could someone come and finish off the lines on the top of Saville Road? Surely it’s more inconvenient to do half a job!
@NatashaMDay In YAS we have an NMA viewer app on our work smartphones, we scan the NMA QR code at the start of shift and can then view the live incident and updates on the way to the job. Makes it slightly better - maybe push for this?
Today I took part in a multi-agency exercise alongside @WYFRS technical rescue team and @UniOfHuddPara students. After abseiling 60ft we put our ten second triage and MITT training to the test.
Second day out in the last week! A very informative event arranged by the YAS Personalised Care Team. We spent the day hearing about various projects within the trust, all with the aim of improving care for our Neurodiverse patients.
@DonnchadhaD@ParaAndy90 The training/scope of an ECA is similar to that of an EMT1, the role is a clinical support role. Here in Yorkshire it’s a band 4 role with a 6 week clinical course (forming part of a 12 month apprenticeship period). ECA’s can attend appropriate jobs, administer med gases etc.
It is with profound sadness we share news of the passing of our Deputy Chair, Tom Heywood, YAS. Tom was a founder of NADN & chaired the YAS network. He leaves a lasting legacy across the sector, improving the lives of staff, he will be deeply missed, Rest in Power dear friend 💜
@VT_Chemist@DonnchadhaD Not sure there’s a reason to run fluids prior to GTN happy to stand corrected though, but gaining IV access prior is definitely a good idea.
@teaandmedals@YAS_NickS Difficult one in my eyes, because if it was treated as a short term issue then I’d argue that it is money spent on patient care. But long term, it’s money spent on avoiding the real issue.
